Takashi Shono, Ph.D.

Founder & CEO

B.E., M.E., and Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Keio University. Since joining NTT as a new graduate, he has over 28 years of experience across telecommunications, semiconductor, and software industries. During his nearly 19 years at Intel Corporation, he led the standardization (IEEE, WiMAX Forum, etc.), regulatory adoption (ITU-R, Japan's Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications, ARIB, etc.), and commercialization of WiMAX technology across both global and Japanese markets, establishing himself as a pioneering figure in Japan. In recognition of these achievements, he received the Intel Achievement Award, Intel's highest global honor. He also pursued research on next-generation wireless communication technologies at Intel's headquarters in California, USA. Beyond his technical leadership, he has also served as an executive officer at Japanese subsidiaries of U.S. tech companies, demonstrating strong business acumen. He is currently a Visiting Professor at Kochi University of Technology and formerly at Kyushu University. He holds 10 patents in Japan and the U.S. and is the author/editor of three technical books.

Yuto Aoki, M.D., Ph.D.

Gastroenterology

Graduate of Nippon Medical School. After completing clinical residency, he joined the Department of Gastrointestinal Surgery at Nippon Medical School. Following advanced training at Nippon Medical School Hospital and the National Cancer Center Hospital, he currently practices and conducts research as a gastrointestinal surgeon specializing in hepatobiliary-pancreatic surgery at Nippon Medical School Chiba Hokusoh Hospital, with a primary focus on liver surgery. Alongside his clinical work, he actively promotes collaborative research in navigation surgery, including AI applications. Contributes to Kewel's AI diagnostic SaMD development in gastroenterology as a clinical hepatobiliary-pancreatic surgeon.

Tatsuya Kishi, M.D.

Orthopedics

Graduate of Tokai University School of Medicine. He is now an Assistant Professor in Orthopedic Surgery and a board-certified orthopedic surgeon, where he performs spinal and general orthopedic surgery and conducts basic research on spinal cord injury. Supports Kewel's AI diagnostic SaMD development in orthopedics through his experience in spinal surgery and spinal cord injury research.

Kentaro Suzuki, M.D., Ph.D.

Neurology

Graduate of Nippon Medical School. After completing initial clinical training at Nippon Medical School Hospital, he joined the Department of Neurology. After working at Tokyo Metropolitan Ebara Hospital, Nippon Medical School Hospital, and other institutions, followed by a research fellowship at the University of California, Los Angeles, he has served as Associate Professor and Director of Neurology at Nippon Medical School Musashikosugi Hospital since 2026. He is certified as a Specialist and Supervising Physician by the Japanese Society of Neurology, among others, specializing in stroke care with a particular focus on neuroendovascular treatment. Leads Kewel's AI diagnostic SaMD development in neurology as a clinical specialist in stroke and neuroendovascular treatment.

Hiroyuki Yamasaki, M.D., Ph.D.

Neurosurgery

Ph.D. in Medicine from Tokushima University Graduate School of Medicine. Neurosurgeon with over 35 years of clinical experience, currently practicing at a hospital in Hiroshima City. He is board-certified by the Japan Neurosurgical Society, among others. His clinical expertise spans comprehensive stroke care, with particular specialization in neuroendovascular treatment. Contributes to Kewel's AI diagnostic SaMD development in neurology with 35 years of clinical expertise in neurosurgery.

Kenji Furuichi, M.D., Ph.D.

Radiology

Graduate of Shiga University of Medical Science. Board-certified diagnostic radiologist with over 16 years of clinical experience in diagnostic imaging and IVR at acute care hospitals. He has led image interpretation systems at core hospitals and trained residents and allied health professionals. Contributes to Kewel's AI diagnostic SaMD development in gastroenterology and orthopedics as a board-certified radiologist.

Hiroshi Yoshioka, M.D., Ph.D.

Senior Advisor

Ph.D. in Medicine from the University of Tsukuba. Physician specializing in radiology and medical imaging. After serving at the National Institute of Radiological Sciences, he held academic appointments including Lecturer in Radiology at the University of Tsukuba, Visiting Lecturer at Stanford University School of Medicine, Visiting Lecturer and Associate Professor at Harvard Medical School, and Professor at the University of California, Irvine, where he is now a Professor Emeritus. He has also served as a Visiting Professor at the National University of Singapore and Mahidol University, promoting international collaborative research in AI-based medical imaging. Drawing on his extensive experience in medical imaging and AI research, he provides strategic guidance on Kewel's clinical and imaging initiatives and supports international collaboration in medical AI.
